Where does FXMarketAPI data come from, how accurate is it?

Our data is sourced from an aggregated feed of institutional providers giving you reliable and up-to-date currency exchange rates that are used by banks globally. We have systems in place to remove irregular prices, giving you the cleanest currency rates available.

How often are prices refreshed?

Unlike many of our competitors, our rates are 100% Real-Time. The currency rates we receive from our providers are passed directly through our exchange rate API with no applied delay.

What is meant by a ‘mid-rate’ price?

We will return a mid-rate for your requested data; these are calculated by averaging the bid and ask rate.

How many currency pairings are provided by FXMarketAPI?

There are over 1700+ currency pairs to choose from, in a list can be found here, includes Gold and Silver.

Do you provide sub second data?

Yes, live currency rates is included in all subscription options.

API Access

How do I get my API access key?

Your API can be accessed by logging into your account and your unique API will be available for you to use or reset.

What happens if I exceed my API calls?

Using an online dashboard you can easily track your API usage. If you exceed your allocation you will be given the option to upgrade to the next subscription level.

Is FXMarketAPI a subscription service?

Yes, this works on a rolling monthly basis which can be cancelled at any time. You can also upgrade and downgrade your service at any time too.

What payment options do you have?

Our payment partner is Stripe, you can use a variety of debit and credit cards - including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & Diner’s Club.

Why should I choose the paid subscription version against the free option?

The correct plan for you depends on the amount of data calls you require during a given month. As a bonus, all paid plans allow access to our historical currency rates and Live exchange rates functionality.
